Delete your account and data

The fastest way is inside the app. Open BrainWave as a parent, go to More → Delete account, and confirm by typing your own email address. It happens immediately — there is no queue and no waiting period.
If you no longer have the app
Email sumit@sazingadigital.com with the subject BrainWave deletion request, from the email address you signed in with. That address is what identifies your account, so a request sent from it needs nothing else.
Requests are completed within 30 days, usually the same week. We will reply to confirm when it is done.
What gets deleted

| A household you share with another parent | Stays with them. Only your membership is removed — a co-parent must not lose their family because you closed your account. If you owned it, ownership passes to the longest-standing remaining parent. |
| Your AI keys | Deleted permanently from our database. |
| Your push notification tokens | Deleted permanently. Your devices stop receiving notifications. |
If you want to remove one child, or one household, without closing your account, you can do both from inside the app instead.
What we keep, and for how long
Web server access logs — the request line, status and IP address, written by the web server rather than by the app — are rotated and discarded within 14 days. They are not linked to your account after it is gone.
Backups are kept for a short period so the service can be restored after a failure. Deleted data is removed from them as they age out; we do not restore a deleted account from a backup.
What deletion cannot reach
Anything you took out of BrainWave yourself — a lesson you copied into another app, a screenshot, a note you wrote down — is yours to delete. So is anything held by an AI provider you used your own key with: those requests were made under your account with them, and their retention is set by their terms, not ours.
